The Visions and Prophecies of Zechariah by David Baron
The book of Zechariah is perhaps second only to Isaiah in its focus upon the person and mission of the Messiah and the events surrounding the last days. It is a striking testimony to the Lord Jesus and His work, and therefore worthy of our continued study. David Baron’s work on this key Old Testament book has been a much-sought-after resource since its original publication in 1918. A contemporary of Baron, the noted Bible scholar and teach W.H. Griffith Thomas, observed that Baron’s work is “a book of genuine help and spiritual profit…The best available book on the subject.”
Originally written as separate articles for lay readers, Baron’s work explains the great Messianic prophecies in Zechariah and the prophetic events that center around the land and people of Israel.
Things to Come
An encyclopedic reference work on biblical prophecy. Pentecost explores the basis of eschatology, biblical hermeneutics, covenants, prophecies of this age and its end, the tribulation, the Second Advent, and the millennium and the eternal state. Though he discusses many interpretations, Pentecost’s own view is pre-millennial and pre-tribulation. “…a standard and comprehensive text in biblical eschatology.” - Dr. John Walvoord.
