Mission
We at Christian Faith Assembly would like to demonstrate that there still exists a Christian assembly that not only hears and reads the whole Word of God but also, when fully persuaded, are actually DOERS of the Word of God.
In today’s Christian church you will find most assemblies speak about trusting God for finances, health, and protection; yet if the truth be known you’ll also find that they are running to the loan companies, medical institutions, and insurance companies to get their assistance. It becomes the “Jesus And” Doctrine. Jesus And the loan company, Jesus And the medical route, Jesus And the insurance company, Jesus And the vote. The Bible doesn’t give credence to such behavior. This is a major deception that is permeated throughout the charismatic church. Jesus doesn’t need any help. He is quite sufficient on His own. (2Co 3:5)
The objection is not going to doctors, loan companies, insurance companies, or any other human agency; the objection is merging the human agency with the Divine and calling it ‘trusting in the Lord’. (Ps 118:8; Jer 17:5)
This deception is not only in the area of personal benefits, which the Lord has given to those who will use faith, but it is also in many other areas of the Christian walk. You’ll find Christians who will bring their Christian brothers and sisters to court, to be judged by the unregenerate, thinking they are trusting the Lord, or, even worse, that it’s the will of the Lord. Others playing the lottery, merging the Lord into it, thereby justifying their action. These are only a few of the examples we could site that the Bible would call mixture; adulterous behavior. This is what James was referring to in Jas 4:4. This is the present day Charismatic wing of the church; not denying the scriptures are for today, just mixing them with the world.
In the other wing of the church, we have the non-Charismatics who, in most cases, blatantly deny that these truths are for today. They might just as well take a scissors to the Bible and cut out large sections that speak about these truths of personal trust in the Lord. They either dispensationalize these scriptures or just plainly say they are not for today. Whether it be “Speaking in Tongues” or “Divine Healing and Health”; they would say that it’s not for today’s church. They may be saved by the death and burial of Jesus Christ, but they deny the risen Christ and the resurrection life that we now live by the faith of the Son of God. (Ga 2:20) I’m not sure which one is worse; the total denial of many of the Evangelicals or the confusion of the Charismatics. Therein lies the purpose for this Website, which is to present these many doctrines of the Bible in their PURE form without any additions or subtractions.
We at Christian Faith Assembly (CFA) are committed to being “Doers of the Word”. (Jas 1:22-25)
We at CFA are aware of the many heretical doctrines (teachings) that are adhered to in today’s church, from “Jesus died Spiritually” error, “Oneness” error, “Feeling/Experiential” errors (that are associated with the Toronto/Pensacola meetings) to the “unity for the sake of unity” movement that seems to be gripping both the Charismatics and non-Charismatics. It doesn’t seem to matter any more what you believe, as long as you name the name of JESUS. These and many more heretical doctrines will be highlighted as we go along.
Finally, our purpose is not to be mean spirited in any of our writings. Our purpose is to help clear up confusion and error that has taken hold of the church. We pray the Lord will use this Website as we are faithful to exhort, edify, and comfort the true church to walk in true Biblical love and Holiness so that the “gates of hell shall not prevail against the church of Jesus Christ” (Mt 16:18).
